Kinks worked out -- let's hear what song you recommend!
I have had a lot of people answer the poll on the right side whether you listen to an iPod while you exercise (if you haven't answered it yet -- what are you waiting for!?). It looks like the majority of you either listen to an iPod regularly or part of the time.
Now that we know that iPods are mostly part of our every day exercise routine, and assuming you listen to music on the iPod while you work out, we are going to build our very own Run4Purpose playlist compiled entirely by you!
What you are to do is to give one song (only one) that you want to contribute to the playlist. You add it by commenting below in the "comments" section. You can even give a rationale why you chose the song too, but remember, you can only choose one, so choose wisely.
There are also several people that have won the shoe bags but haven't claimed their prize yet. Shame shame. You have until this coming Sunday to do so or else they will be going in another drawing.

CADENCE -- by Anberlin
I chose this song not because probably no one has heard of it, but because of the drive and purpose it brings to me when I run. This American rock band delivers a force in the song where I feel that I am actually running towards something important; thus keeping me running more and "with a purpose." The power and enthusiasm in the lyrics makes me want to stop writing right now and run. See ya!
I love Anberlin! I am going to see them at the end of the month when they come to Columbus!

I heard this song on Pandora and I really like it. I haven't put it on my running playlist yet, but I can definitely see myself running to this. Give it a listen:

This is a great idea. I can't wait to see everyone's song suggestions and make a playlist on Spotify! Here's my song:
Party Rock Anthem - LMFAO feat. Lauren Bennett and GoonRock
It's a great upbeat song, and when you hear it it'll put a smile on your face and make you wanna move!
MGMT - Electric Feel
Great beat and different vibe... love it!
Stereo Love by Edward Maya ft Alicia
Great work out song to get your work out/run on. It really gets me going and pumped up. I feel like Im in the zone when listening to it. The replay button to this song is highly recommended :)
Just Dance - Lady Gaga!!!
One of my favorite songs is Dive by Steven Curtis Chapman
"Only the Young" by Journey from the Vision Quest soundtrack. Use to run to that back at the Air Force Academy back in the day...
I don't listen to music when running but I have been known to sing songs in my head, and occasionally out loud when I've been caught up in the moment.
One of my faves is Ankle Injuries by Fujiya & Miyagi, a British band.

it has a rhythm that just carries you along with it.
Redemption Song - Bob Marley
I like listening to Bob Marley when biking or running. Reggae keeps me in a good mood on the long hot days of summer.
Another running song I used to love was Take On Me by A-Ha
So Troy, which one is it going to be? "Take me on" or "Only the Young?"
Let me know b/c I will be closing this after tomorrow and I want to know which one you want to be in the Run4Purpose playlist. I wish I could take both but I already set the rules.
The last dance ... Claire Macguire
